I had the great opportunity to work with Kudzai, a Melbourne based, upcoming talent on their brand development. Our main goal was to create a visual presence that truly reflects not only his music but his personality. Something that his followers and fans can identify with and find relevant.

visual language
While creating a visual language for an active artist we had to acknowledge that it has to be very flexible. It has to adapt to Kudzai’s evolving personality as an artist and will completely change album by album. To lay down the first stepping stones we created a logo that is easily recognisable and unique so his name always stands out on all promotional platforms.



To continue the visual development we organised a photo shoot to create the foundation for the brand look and feel. Our aim was to focus only on the artist and capture his personality. Not disrupted by any unnecessary visual elements. Only playing with the light settings and creating high contrasts with colours.
A simple set up for the shoot was follow by post production work to achieve the final look we aimed for.

To spread the message and to engage with more followers we did an instagram take over. Creating a teaser campaign for the upcoming shows and announcing a new album release.
Our aim was to reach as many fans as possible via Instagram stories and image posts. All was done to also launch the brand look and feel and create a strong social presence.







website design
First we launched the brand on social media. To create momentum we also announced the website launch on Instagram. The website serves as a core element in the communication and help to drive bookings as well as new promotional offers. In the near future it will also host merchandise and podcast series with the artist.
